Virginia ViewFinders
This new signature program called Virginia ViewFinders asks outdoor enthusiasts to snap photos of Virginia’s scenic beauty while enjoying the great outdoors. These beautiful vistas can be uploaded at www.VirginiaViewFinders.org, and the public can vote on whether they think they’re scenic or not! Best of all, their locations show up on a Google Map, allowing us to identify and recognize these special places.
Virginia Vistas Photo Contest
Our Annual Virginia Vistas Photo Contest showcases the depth and breadth of our scenic vistas, reminding Virginians (and the world!) of the breathtaking beauty that surrounds us. Each year the Richmond Times-Dispatch reveals our Best in Show and nine Photo Category Winners in a full-color cover feature in their Sunday Culture section and showcases the Winners and Honorable Mentions on their website. Each Saturday the RT-D features a different Virginia Vistas photo on the Opinions page. Our Photo Contest categories include the following:

- Farms & Open Spaces
- Highways & Byways
- Mountains & Valleys

Scenic Awards
Our Annual Awards event at the Virginia State Capitol in Richmond is the Commonwealth’s premier event for recognizing excellence in the field of scenic conservation, with a special emphasis on projects that can be replicated in other areas of the state. Our Categories include the following:
